Farm to Fork, St Andrew Square

Summer started with a bang this year for the team here at the restaurant when we took part at Farm to Fork in St Andrew Square on Tuesday 23rd June. It was a one-off event to mark the 15th birthday of the renowned and award winning Edinburgh Farmers Market.

A mini-market was part of the big day, with select producers offering fresh baked goods, organic meats, artisan chocolates and more. Lunches were prepared by some of the city's top chefs including our very own Mark Greenaway who sold out of his 11-hour slow roasted Puddledub belly pork, toffee apple jus and pomme purée in record time.

To further add to the excitement, there was a special visit from His Royal Highness, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. They both stopped by to chat to Mark and visit the Restaurant Mark Greenaway stall. Prince Charles even extended an invitation for Mark to attend Dumfries House. Mark said "For Charles and Camilla to be there and to show such great support for Scottish produce has to be a step in the right direction, after all, we do have one of the best larders in the world in my opinion."
